August 6th, 2010 –The Ivanhoe Village Main Street & the Arts Hub Florida present The Art Stroll of Ivanhoe Village. This event will be on Orange Avenue, between Viginia and Highland on Orange Ave from 6pm until 9pm. It is free and open to the public.

"We are pleased to continue Ivanhoe Village’s monthly First Friday Art Stroll,” stated Brad Biggs of The ArtsHub. “The event will exhibit some of Central Florida’s emerging and accomplished artists displaying and creating original works of fine art along the sidewalks, and live music by local talent.” ArtsHub’s Jason Lee added, “ Each month one deserving artist will be awarded the Austin Arts Hub Scholarship to pay for their booth space.”

Clair Strutt is the highlighted artist for August. Ms. Strutt moved to Central Florida from New York, and studied fine art in college. She counts Freida Kahlo and Salvador Dali among her inspirations, and her landscape and figurative work has a strong emotional basis, while retaining a sense of humor about herself and her world. “Pay Attention,” a nude wearing a lampshade being ignored by her husband, is an example of Strutt’s lighthearted approach to life.
