It’s easy to lose track of time inside Eclectic Interiors & Design. Owner Sara Manthey has filled the showroom with antique furnishings, vintage decor, original artwork, jewelry, lighting, and rugs that invite visitors to browse, linger, and find inspiration around every turn. Motown jams in the background and a story by Sara complete the experience.
Sara is no stranger to Ivanhoe Village. Before opening Eclectic Interiors & Design in 2020, she co-owned Carousel Emporium from 2012, where she spent years helping customers find distinctive furnishings and decor. Her long-standing presence in the district has made her a familiar face to those who have watched Ivanhoe Village’s creative community grow and evolve. Today, through Eclectic Interiors, Sara continues that passion by pairing a thoughtfully curated showroom with full-service interior design.
Interior design was always Sara’s first passion. Her time in the military provided stability, financial support for college, and the opportunity to travel the world. Those experiences helped shape her path back to design, where she now helps clients create spaces that feel personal and collected.
Eclectic Interiors is also housed in one of Ivanhoe Village’s historic buildings. Once home to the Boliseum (bowling alley), it’s fitting for a business that celebrates timeless design and giving beautiful pieces new life.
Whether you’re searching for the perfect statement piece, planning a home refresh, or simply looking for a good story, Eclectic Interiors offers a unique shopping experience. The next time you’re exploring the district, stop in, stay awhile, and see what catches your eye, because you just might find the piece you didn’t know you were looking for.
