Design Committee supports a community’s transformation. Achieved by enhancing the physical and visual assets, setting the commercial district apart. Developing or adopting a comprehensive, long-term vision for a Main Street district is essential to setting a positive course for future development and investment.

The Design Committee is working on a project on Virginia Drive. This project will include replacing the over-grown hedges near Project 7 Yoga. The design plans discussion is on the tableThis meeting is open to the public. Design Committee meets to improve the Ivanhoe Village district in Orlando and set it apart from other districts. at the next meeting. Discussing ways to approach the property owner about applying for the City of Orlando facade grant program. For instance, the facade grant requires three components.

In addition the the planter boxes two new components are added to the initial design. Plans include a new white lining along the top of the buildings and the installation of a retro Ivanhoe Village sign. The smaller building, Miracle Copy, is proposed to be used as the sample location. For instance, using this section to find the correct material for the lining of the boxes and developing a scale able plan for the full length of the location. Consequently, discussions will be in depth.

Discussing the plans for this committee over the next fiscal year, which starts on October 1, 2020. Plans tentatively include an art panel project, Virginia Drive Project, and additional art boxes in Health Village. Above all, a plan for the year will lead this committee to success.
