Each Free Family Funday has a different theme based on the current exhibition in the museum. This Fall we’re exploring the photography of Edward Steichen.

– Identify characteristics, similarities and differences, of the artist’s early and later photographic compositions
– Recall the artists, actors, poets, and dancers working at this time
– Locate icons and their symbolism within everyday objects like flowers and clothing choices
– Learn the process of early photography development techniques
– Design compositions inspired by the artist living and working in the 1920s

Fine art project and docent touring: 12-2:30 p.m. The museum galleries stay open until 4:30 p.m. for all guests.
