Promotion means selling the image and promise of Main Street to all prospects. Focusing marketing on the district’s unique characteristics to shoppers, investors, new businesses, and visitors. For instance, effective promotion strategy forges a positive image. Accomplished through advertising, retail promotional activity, special events, and marketing campaigns. These are carried out by local volunteers. During the year, flexibility is essential to the success of the committee. An innovative and thoughtful approach is vital in the next year. The image of Ivanhoe Village will determine its potential for vitality.and prosperity.

October Meeting Goals:

Firstly, with a focus on the a year long plan for events in the district. Develop a long-term marketing plan for the district. Plan to create the district packet. Secondly, planning tentative dates for each event. Pick a date for 12 Wines of Christmas. However, we also need a alternate date in the spring. Thirdly, create a CDC compliant event safety plan for all future events. Fourthly, review success of September’s month long scavenger hunt. Decide future date if event is to continue. Lastly, set date and time of next meeting.
