Self Care Month kicked off on the first of the year, but it’s not too late to join! You can find a full list of healthy options in Ivanhoe Village with its new event, Self Care Month.
Self-care is a term that has cropped up more in recent years with a national focus on maintaining your health before all else. Relationship expert and author Jackie Viramontez says, “Self care is not a waste of time. Self care makes your use of time more sustainable.”
In January, New Year’s resolutions kicked in and many people give up harmful coping mechanisms after an anxiety-ridden holiday season. In an effort to help suggest more healthy options and promote the many spas, exercise facilities, and preventative health options in the district, Self Care Month was created. This event gives a full spectrum of healthy options to choose from with many being repeatable throughout the year.
Ivanhoe Village has mapped out a unique suggestion for each day of the month, with everything from donated Zumba classes to suggested walks along one of the three lakes in the district. AdventHealth Orlando is hosting Business After Hours at the Wellness Center on January 30, 2020 from 5:30-7:30 PM. Try out Zumba and the exciting exercise bikes that blend your smoothie while you ride! Take advantage of the extra support and check out the month of options at https://ivanhoevillage.org/events/
