As you stroll up the path to the front porch of The House on Lang, you’re greeted by locally made treasures that hint at what’s waiting inside. Wander through the rooms of the house, where you’ll discover stylish apparel for men and women, unique accessories, thoughtful gifts, and locally handcrafted home decor. Continue to the back room, and you may find a workshop in progress. Venture into the backyard, and you might stumble upon a comedy show, goat yoga, or neighbors gathered around a table with a glass of wine in hand.
And that’s the magic of The House on Lang. What began as a boutique has evolved into one of our neighborhood’s most welcoming gathering spaces, a place where shopping is only the beginning. Co-owners Julie and Christie have created a place where retail, creativity, and community come together.
Their collaborative spirit can be found in every corner of the property. The House on Lang regularly partners with local makers and fellow small businesses to host workshops, pop-ups, and events that bring people together. Whether you’re attending a candle-making class, discovering a new local maker, or simply catching up with friends at an evening event, connection happens naturally.
The shop is also known for its adventurous side. Through social media, followers can often spot House on Lang “laundry” traveling the globe, with customers proudly showcasing their favorite finds on vacations and adventures. It’s a playful tradition that reflects the joy, personality, and sense of community that Julie and Christie have built around the brand. This June, stop by The House on Lang and pick out something worthy of its own travel photo.
We’re grateful for the energy, collaboration, and hospitality House on Lang brings to our ‘hood.
