Recently, we have been fortunate enough to see our area become more bicycle-friendly. The Orlando Urban Trail goes right through our neighborhood, SunRail stops in our neighborhood and you can take your bike on the train with you. Our neighborhood is the starting point for Orlando Critical Mass on the last Friday of the month, as well as a ride that happens the first Friday of the month, called First Friday. Soon we will have a bike share program in a few locations in the neighborhood. This year, we were even the starting point for Mayor Buddy Dyer’s Bike to Work Day!
Ivanhoe Village Main Street has been active in encouraging people to cycle with our bike valet, hosted at Orlando Fringe and other events. We are also working to increase the number of bike racks in the neighborhood.
In an effort to encourage more cycling, several Ivanhoe Village merchants have joined together to offer discounts if you ride up on your bike! The list is below; keep checking back for updates!
